Our pupils visited St Mary’s Church, Leyton. As citizens of a truly diverse world, it is vital we gain an understanding of other beliefs and cultures of all other people in not only this country, but throughout the world. By visiting the local church, the boys were given a deeper insight to the ways of worship, the ways of life and the beliefs of the Christian community.
Reverend Christine Rablen, the vicar, very kindly spoke to our pupils, highlighting the beliefs of her religion. The pupils were able to grasp a firm idea of their beliefs and to further draw similarities and differences in Islam and Christianity, enabling them to become more cohesive within their communities.
